1. The choice of etching method

Precise etching line There are two main methods according to the contact form of the workpiece and the solution, namely spray etching and immersion etching. There are the following two principles for the selection of etching methods.

(1) Production capacity: Spray etching has high efficiency, fast speed, and high precision. It is suitable for a certain batch of production. The production is easy to realize automatic control, but the equipment investment is large, and it is not suitable for special-shaped workpieces and large-scale Etching of the workpiece; the immersion etching equipment has a small investment, easy to etch, and is suitable for a wide range of workpieces, but is not suitable for mass production. At the same time, the immersion etching speed is slower than the spray type, and the production efficiency is lower than that of the spray type. The production process is not easy to realize Automatic control.

(2) The shape and size of the workpiece. For large workpieces, due to the limitations of the equipment, it is difficult to use spray etching, and the immersion type will not be affected by the size of the workpiece. The shape of the workpiece is complicated, and some parts will not be sprayed during spraying, which will affect the normal etching. However, the immersion type is to soak the workpiece in the etching solution. As long as the dynamic between the solution and the workpiece is maintained, It can be ensured that all parts of the special-shaped workpiece can be filled with etching liquid and the new liquid and the old liquid can be continuously replaced, so that the etching can be carried out normally.

For small flat or nearly flat workpieces, if conditions permit, spray etching is superior to immersion etching in terms of efficiency and accuracy. Therefore, the spray type is the first choice for workpieces with large batches, moderate workpiece sizes (depending on the equipment), and simple shapes; if the workpiece has a large shape, it is difficult to use an etching machine, and the shape of the workpiece is complex, and the batch is not large. It is better to use the immersion type.

2. Selection of etching equipment

No matter what kind of etching method is used, the matching etching equipment is indispensable. For spray etching, you need to purchase a suitable etching machine. There are transmission etching machines and non-transmission jet etching machines. The transmission etching machine is suitable for mass production, and the non-transmission jet etching machine is suitable for small and medium-scale production. , This type of etching machine is generally difficult to make by yourself, and you have to go to the equipment factory to order it or buy it in the equipment market. The principle of etching machine selection is mainly determined by production volume. The production volume referred to here refers to the average daily output that can be predicted over a period of time.

If immersion etching is used, a certain volume of etching tank is required. The material of the etching tank is determined by the nature of the etching solution. For alkaline etching, stainless steel materials are mostly used, and attention should be paid to the insulation device; for acid etching systems, PP materials can be used; for large etching tanks, stainless steel can be used Case plus lined with soft P material.
